It has been a couple years since this class has been offered at SFCB and I am excited to say that I will be teaching it again in this month! And there are still a couple openings! The limp vellum is a historical binding so-called “limp” because the covers are made from real parchment that is folded around itself (rather that covering stiff boards). Here is a link to the full class description, dates and enrollment information. Feel free to email me with any questions!
I am pleased to announced that I will be co-teaching a brand new class at the San Francisco Center for the Book with letterpress printer extraordinaire, Grendl Löfkvist, called The Printed Book. In this class you will learn how to use a letterpress to print and bind a book! The class begins March 10 (4 consecutive Sundays). Click here for more information. And be sure to visit SFCB in their new location just around the corner–it is amazing!
